The Balsa Series is my answer to cork batons. I understand the function of cork: lightweight handle, non-slip grip, with a little bit of give. However, I never liked the look of a cork baton, so by using lightweight balsa wood, with an exotic hardwood mask, I've achieved the PaGu Batons version of "classy cork".
The "Phil-Harmonic" model is a very versatile baton for someone who likes to move their hand around depending on the style they are conducting. It has a large bulb to either tuck into the palm or wrap the fingers around, a wide gully for the fingers to settle into, and a flat spot for the thumb.
